Homewood’s wedding FAQ identifies three separate partner requirements: Carolina Love Events for coordination, Asheville Beverage for bar service, and an approved-caterer list for food. The catering decision is therefore centered on choosing from the venue’s approved options and coordinating the meal with the required event team, rather than assuming any preferred food provider can be used.

Homewood publishes capacity for just over 110 guests for dinner seating with a dance floor, or about 150 for heavy hors d’oeuvres and cocktail seating. Ceremonies can take place in the Garden Ceremony Site or indoors in the Great Room before its stone fireplace. Ask which approved caterers currently serve the desired meal format, who manages setup and cleanup, how food moves from the service area to guests, and whether the required beverage arrangement involves separate timing or staffing.

The reviewed pages do not publish a formal rain-plan policy. Although the Great Room is listed as an indoor ceremony location, couples should confirm how an outdoor ceremony and reception transition would work for their specific plan instead of treating that indoor option as a complete weather protocol.

Hidden River Events: infrastructure for all-inclusive and DIY formats

Hidden River Events describes both all-inclusive and DIY wedding formats. Its published DIY information lists a 6,800-square-foot climate-controlled event tent, tables and chairs for up to 350 guests, a dance floor, a catering staging area, and outdoor ceremony locations. These details make the catering conversation especially dependent on logistics: the couple and caterer need to understand how the staging area, service line, refrigeration, power, and cleanup responsibilities fit together.

The Mountain Elegance package is published for weddings of 25 to 350 guests, while the DIY page describes the physical event setup. Those are different planning signals, not proof that every feature or vendor arrangement applies identically to every booking. Ask which catering equipment and staffing are included in the selected format, whether outside caterers are permitted, and who handles bussing, trash, and end-of-night cleanup. Also ask separately whether tableware is included or must be rented; the published DIY information lists tables and chairs, not tableware.

Hidden River’s published information says alcohol is purchased by the couple rather than included in the package. The public pages reviewed do not provide a complete food-and-beverage price sheet, so request a written outline of food service, bar service, rentals, staffing, and required approvals. Its FAQ describes weather options that include a brief delay when practical or moving the event into the tent, with heaters, patio heaters, and sidewalls for colder conditions. Confirm how a weather change would affect meal timing and the service layout.

Century Room on the Park: dedicated kitchen and named meal formats

The Century Room on the Park is Pack’s Tavern’s private-event space at 20 South Spruce Street in downtown Asheville. Its wedding venue page describes a full-service bar and dedicated kitchen, with heavy hors d’oeuvres, buffet dinners, plated meals, and family-style fare. Compared with an approved-caterer model or a DIY infrastructure model, those published meal formats give couples several specific options to discuss with the event team.

The room is published for up to 180 seated guests or 250 for a cocktail-style event. Listed facilities also include a private suite and audio-visual capabilities. During a tour or menu conversation, ask whether the proposed arrangement covers menu design, service staff, china or other tableware, dietary requests, cake service, and cleanup. The reviewed pages do not answer those questions, so they should remain open items rather than assumptions.

The Century Room is an indoor event space, but the reviewed materials do not publish a separate rain-plan policy. If the ceremony is planned elsewhere, confirm the timing and guest-movement plan, including whether the food-service layout must be reset between ceremony and reception.

Ask which statements apply to the selected package or room, not merely to the venue generally.

A useful comparison does not declare one arrangement universally best. Homewood may require the most attention to approved partners, Hidden River may require the clearest DIY logistics plan, and the Century Room may make meal-format comparison more direct. The right choice depends on how much control your team wants over vendors and logistics, the planned service style, and which responsibilities each venue confirms in writing.
